This past Monday (1/12/09) Charlie's cousin Jenny and her husband Eric came over to stay overnight. Eric had to catch a flight back to Cali the next day and Jenny was driving to go see her brother in Lubbock. It was SO fun having them here! We all went out to dinner at On The Border and then came back here and just talked until about 3 in the morning. It was so good to see them! We haven't seen Jenny since Thanksgiving of '07 and it's been even longer since we've seen Eric. We had a lot of fun with them and wish they lived closer! Love you two!
Anyway, Charlie has been working hard at work. The hotel he works at is currently converting into a new, 5 star hotel for those of you who don't know. He and his boss (the executive chef) have been busy ordering new equipment, uniforms, supplies and have been trying to start hiring their staff. He is really enjoying this job which is really great. It's really nice to see him doing something he loves. Plus he has a great relationship with his boss, so it's been great.

Charlie could be on Top Chef! One of the elimination challenges is always "opening up a new restaurant". In fact, I think that challenge is this coming Wednesday night, 10pm on Bravo. One of my favorite shows!
